How to Make a Referral
Referring a client to Heale is straightforward. Heale works directly with clients — we do not accept third-party intake on behalf of clients. Here is how to refer:
Provide your client with Heale's contact information — phone: 209.567.2259 or website: heale.me. Your client contacts Heale directly to begin their intake.
Your client will be directed to complete a brief prescreening through our secure SimplePractice portal. A member of our team will follow up within two business days.
For services requiring both parties — such as co-parenting counseling, supervised visitation, or reconnection therapy — each party completes their own intake independently. Services begin once both parties have completed their intake or orientation.
For forensic evaluation referrals — 730 and 3111 Evaluations — please have your client contact our office directly at 209.567.2259. Melissa Hale, LCSW handles all forensic evaluation scheduling personally.
Professional inquiries from attorneys, probation officers, or court staff may be directed to connect@heale.me. We respond within one business day.

Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider in advance to confirm their mental health benefits and coverage.
